About Us

We love animals - plain and simple. But more than that, we KNOW animals, especially dogs and cats.

Susan Norris-Jones brings over 30 years experience with dogs, that has included training, breeding, and showing. The SunoJo Akitas and Shiba Inu enjoy an international reputation for quality, complemented by Susan's committment to good health through good care.

Renee Stcherba is our on-site manager who ensures that every animal in our facility receives the best of care. Renee has long been involved with dogs in every aspect: as a trainer, groomer, breeder, exhibitor. Her Usheens Shiba Inu are the little red foxes that can be seen keeping an eye on our canine guests from their yard.

Our grooming team consists of Laci, Kerri, and Anne - together they provide services to keep your dog looking and feeling his/her best.

The boarding clients have Stephanie the "Treat Lady" keeping them clean, happy and exercised - she is the one you see (and sometimes hear singing!) with the dogs out in the yard. Kerri, Susan and Renee round out the boarding staff, ensuring that all the dogs receive lots of exercise and cuddle time.

We are fully licensed and insured, and maintain full time staff. There is ALWAYS someone on the property. The House of Dogs Pet Resort is committed to providing the best in grooming and boarding services in the Comox Valley
